Picture this: unlimited image galleries stored on Amazon S3 – share with anyone

Friday, June 6th, 2008

ezs3 image galleryWhen we set out to help our clients manage their media on Amazon S3, we knew that we didn’t want to limit our eZs3 service to video.

Users know, we already have audio players and even a PDF player

Now we have added Images and Image Galleries to our stable.

It’s easy to upload a whole folder of images, into your Amazon S3 account using our uploader (best to place them in a folder that has an easy match to the gallery name – helps to keep a thread of logic!)

Once uploaded, all you do is select the images you want in each gallery and set the title / caption for the image. As you might expect – The thumbnails are created automatically

So, simply grab the embed code and paste it into your page to create a great looking gallery

Image galleries on Amazon S3 – now it’s as easy as 1… 2 …  eZs3 !

eZs3 improved reports means more informed management of media on Amazon S3

Friday, June 6th, 2008

How can we make Amazon S3 easier to use? That’s a question we keep asking at eZs3

We recently improved the report and stats info to provide ‘at a glance’ summaries of the different players and their views for each eZs3 user. This gives a really useful, quick insight into what’s being played and what isn’t.

When eZs3 users login in from now onward, they will see a fourth button across the top of their ‘control panel’ – view player stats.

This takes them to a list of all the player styles they have deployed using eZs3 – MP3, MOV, FLV, SWF etc. And a quick glance can show just how many plays they’ve had

From there, they can drill down and check which particular media files are proving to be popular – or not

And from there they can easily go to those files and make cosmetic edits (eg change the colour scheme of the player) or more detailed edits.

We quite like this ‘back-door’ navigation as it’s more intuitive to the whole management of the media stored on Amazon S3.

Multi user management of your Amazon S3 account, anyone?

Wednesday, June 4th, 2008

After taking the $1 trial, one of our users wanted to delegate the ‘hands-on’ aspects of uploading and managing their media to a colleague, but needed to keep an eye on things and check the reports etc.

This meant we had to figure out how set up multi-user, secure access to Amazon S3 and the players, reports and media tools of eZs3.

To cut a long story short… we created Business User plans:

Up to 3, up to 5 and up to 10 users connecting to the same Amazon S3 account.

Doesn’t matter if they are in the same room, office or building. Doesn’t matter if they’re on the same continent:

They can all log-in to update and manage their Amazon S3 account, files, folders, media, players, stats and reports!
