Tip #2 – Ten Top Tips for Lightweight Web-Ready and Smooth Playback Video

Welcome to our series of ten top tips for web-ready video

Top Tip Number #2 – Minimize movement

Yes you want to jump around and show just how enthusiastic you are about your latest product, but the more you move, the more likely you are to have pixellation, fuzzing and blurring in your video

Moreover, because online you could be sending content to iPads, tablets or smart phones, you want to keep your video bit rate as light as possible – this makes it easier for even today’s powerful handheld devices to play back your video

One of the easiest ways to reduce bitrate is to keep as much the same in from frame to frame as possible – which means less movement in your video

Have a run through your slot first; do you shake your head unconsciously? Do you fidget in your seat? Do you tend to gesture over the top to get your point across?

Try to cut out as much unnecessary movement as you can – especially with close up shots, less is more – and you will help keep your video lightweight for the web
